Safety and Environment was present, at the invitation of the National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), at the official launch session of the 2025/26 Christmas and New Year Campaign “The best gift is being present”, bringing together a broad set of public and private entities mobilized to promote road safety in Portugal.

The campaign presentation session took place on December 17, at MAAT Central in Lisbon, and was chaired by the Secretary of State for Civil Protection, Rui Rocha, bringing together the main national entities responsible for prevention, enforcement, protection, and road safety.

The presence of Safety and Environment at this institutional event reinforces its ongoing commitment to road safety, as part of a broad cooperation strategy involving more than 440 public and private entities, including central government bodies, security forces, civil protection entities, and institutional partners throughout the country.

Under the slogan “The best gift is being present”, the ANSR campaign aims to raise drivers’ awareness of the increased risks typical of the festive season, calling for responsible behavior on the road, particularly with regard to speed, alcohol consumption, and driver fatigue.

Safety and Environment’s participation in this initiative is part of its mission to actively contribute to reducing road accidents, protecting human life, and consolidating a culture of prevention, responsibility, and safety on Portuguese roads.
